Mele can be loosely translated to song or music. Mele can also stand for poem, story or just about any form of composition.
The music products presented here are all “made in Hawaiʻi” and represent my own personal all time favorites. Hawaiʻi, small as we are, has the largest per capita music talent pool in the country. This is not an arrogant statement. As a “local” singer-songwriter-performer I bring all my biases to these choices. For sure, the list is eclectic. If you are local you will already be aware of most of these personal picks. If you are not we’ve provided you with links to the artists so have some fun and check them out yourself. I guarantee you’ll be surprised.
